Colorado Avalanche: Is Peter Forsberg Helping?

OK, where to start... I am new at this stuff, but I suppose it is better that I do something somewhat constructive with my time rather then sitting on my ass doing nothing.

I am a die-hard Colorado Avalanche fan and I am not too sure how to feel about having Peter Forsberg back.

I first heard about him signing and I was going nuts, but without getting too excited, I knew that he would not be healthy. Despite this, he still has the ability to show glimpses of being that "premier" player that many teams in the late ’90s feared because he was that good.

Save your arguments, when he was 100 percent, Forsberg was the best player in the NHL. Now that he has been back for what seems to be an eternity (actually only seven games), he is still averaging a point per game.

Some will argue that the Avalanche are a better team with him, (considering that they did not lose anyone to get him) and others will argue that positioning wise, they are no better.

This is a valid argument; however when you consider that this team has not been 100 percent healthy for almost the entire season and that 90-plus points won’t get you into the playoffs, and that their division has the potential to send four out of five teams to the playoffs, some credit is due.

Any Avalanche or any hockey fans care to chime in on this matter?
