Some things in life are not self evident, because sometimes you have to actually see a sea otter dunk a basketball to know it truly is the best thing in the world.
As it turns out, watching a sea otter dunk is better than watching Russell Westbook pick out his clothes for the day, and far better than watching JaVale McGee do anything.
Just sit back and watch this video from the Oregon Zoo, because it will hopefully take that bad taste of the NBA Slam Dunk Contest out of your mouth.
The video features Eddie, a 15-year-old sea otter who has arthritis in his elbows. To ease the malady, the zoo tried to come up with a creative way to work his joints.
Oregon Zoo's Jenny DeGroot explains they came up with dunking basketballs. If only playing basketball was the cure for Derrick Rose too.
However, all Eddie can do is dunk a basketball, which can get kind of boring after a while. I can only imagine he plays little defense and his jump shot looks like Shawn Marion's.
Then again, if Eddie decides to retire, the Oregon Zoo can always sign Blake Griffin and they wouldn't miss a beat.
Twitter is where it all goes down. Well, most of it anyway.
