The Shark and The Ice Princess

AUGUSTA, GA - APRIL 08: Greg Norman of Australia celebrates his hole-in-one on the sixth hole with his wife/caddie Chris Evert during the Par 3 Contest prior to the 2009 Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club on April 8, 2009 in Augusta, Georgia. (Photo by David Cannon/Getty Images)

Watching Chris Evert celebrating Greg Norman's hole-in-one at the par 3 competition got me to thinking...could Chris Evert, "the ice princess," help Greg Norman, "the shark," make a showing at the Masters?

Greg Norman has his own legacy to uphold at the Masters.  But could the cool and cunning Chris by his side give him a better shot? Chris was groomed to unsettle her opponents by showing little to no emotion.   Nothing could move Chris off of her game.  Not the power of Navratilova or the youth of Tracy Austin.  While other players were yelling at the officials, slamming rackets and throwing  hissy fits the only emotion you would get from Chris was her flaring her nostrils and pursing her lips.

Can Chris Evert stop Greg Norman from having yet another meltdown when the match is in his hands?  Chris never beat herself.  It took a better effort from her opponent to beat her.  Golf is an individual sport but could the presence of Chris Evert help Greg Norman win the all-elusive Masters?

I hope Chris is to Greg what Tiger's footsteps are to Tiger.  Go Greg!!!
