For every Twist, there’s a turn.
That’s the mantra of the latest video from NASCAR hyping up the 2013 Sprint Cup Series campaign, and the promotional ad does its job to perfection.
If you weren’t excited about getting back the weekly fun of stock-car racing before, this minute-long highlight reel of the twists and turns in the sport known as NASCAR will get even the most casual fans not only excited about this Sunday’s Daytona 500 but the long year of Sprint Cup Series driving ahead of us.
The video does a great job chronicling the ups and downs of the NASCAR season—from the last-second wins to the wrecks that swallowed up the majority of the field—and an even better job of giving the drivers their chance to shine.

What truly makes this video great is how the lines spoken by the narrator truly tell the story of the sport, and the videos used to visualize the story are an eclectic mix of current footage and old footage from times gone by.
NASCAR is all about its history, so anytime Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt Sr.—as well as the amazing footage of Cale Yarborough and Donnie Allison fighting at the 1979 Daytona 500—can be used in a video package hyping up the season, it’s a good idea.
Add in the footage of current drivers like Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Danica Patrick and others, not to mention a few more crashes and off-track fights, and it will be hard for anyone to say they aren’t excited for this NASCAR season.
