After scoring that beauty of a goal against Sweden Alexandre Pato succeeded in doing that which few have done in netting on his very first outing for Brazil.
In doing so Pato has joined the ranks of a list that previously only had four players: Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Zico, Pele and now Pato.
Pato having joined this elite club now has to live up to the weight of the yellow jersey and the Royalty of the other legendary names he now stands with side by side.
Only time will tell if Pato can go on to become a world-class football legend.
Judging by the quality of that goal against poor old Rami Shaaban there must be great things to come.
However many a great potential star has faded to injury and other circumstances so for now it's just wait and see.
The Olympics could be a good playing field for Pato to affirm himself with a title.

Oh to be Brazilian and rejoice in such a great talent pool...
Thanks for the information and the article on debut scorers that is a unique stat indeed.
Pato I feel is the real deal. In games so far even when his team has played so poorly he reamins the threat.
I am interested to see what happens when people know him better what his second season will be like and how he will be marked once teams have enough tape on him.
What a future though...

I think you are right Alby many players like Robinho declined after being viewed for a while. It's hard to keep coming up with new moves.
Pato is interesting as he has the same roots as Ronaldo (Lima). Futesal roots give players unique dribbles and an ever awareness of where the goal is without looking.
These guys are hard to mark even after studying them cause they play really differently and have a bag full of tricks in order to deal with the blitz speed of futsal.
They are so fast that they appear slow.....like the matrix....hehe.
