The Shield vs. John Cena, Ryback and Sheamus is one of the most interesting matchups on tap for WWE Elimination Chamber 2013.

It's far from the only matchup worth paying special attention to Sunday, though, when the WWE's pay-per-view kicks off. The creative team has done a fantastic job dreaming up some epic fights leading up to WrestleMania 29.

Follow along as we take a look at the three most interesting fights on the docket.

The Shield vs. John Cena, Ryback and Sheamus

Grudge matches are the best, and The Shield has drudged up some serious hate in the team's short time on the circuit. The Shield has given each of these three faces a legitimate reason to bring their "A" games to this fight.

Ryback, in particular, has reason to hate The Shield for its many attacks on him throughout the past few months. Two times he has had WWE Championship matches interrupted by The Shield, and he's been relentlessly pursued by the trio of Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns since last November.

Will the faces triumph, or will the heel prevail?

This matchup will be a huge determining factor to what goes down in WrestleMania 29, and you can bet the creative team has some doozies dialed up for this fight.

The Rock vs. CM Punk

Will Punk take back the title already, or will The People's Champ continue his run all the way through 'Mania?

I have already postulated in a previous article that the obvious choice is the one that won't happen. The Rock would seem to be the favorite to win this fight, setting up a matchup between him and Cena at WrestleMania.

Should that happen, Punk might be in a position to take on The Undertaker in April, which I'm sure we'd all love to see.

Regardless of who wins, this fight is bound to feature a shocking surprise nobody saw coming. Furthermore, no matter the outcome, we'll have a bevy of story lines to follow as things line up for WrestleMania.

Elimination Chamber Match

Of all the matches, this one is the toughest to predict.

Mark Henry, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, Jack Swagger, Kane and Daniel Bryan are all former world champions, and being that these six men will be locked inside the dangerous Elimination Chamber structure, you can be sure it will be a melee of epic proportions.

Making matters more interesting is the fact that these men are working for a chance to fight for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 29.

Personally, I'm picking Y2J for the win.
