Newark, N.J. — The guy’s name was Kevin, he’d squeezed into his all-black security outfit and he spoke with a Jersey accent that was as thick as gravy gone bad.
“My boss told me,” he said, nodding in the direction of the Seton Hall lay-up line, “that I had to be ready in case these guys win and the students storm the court. When I heard that, I just smiled because I know that ain’t happening tonight.”
