Champions League: Francesco Totti Out vs. Manchester United

Francesco Totti is out of Roma’s quarter-final with Manchester United, and possibly the second leg too, with a thigh strain.

The captain had been struggling with a recurring knee problem this month and played in the 1-1 draw against Cagliari on Saturday with strapping to the area.

However, he was spotted clutching the back of his left thigh several times, although he continued to play until the final whistle.

The club has confirmed Totti has been diagnosed with a muscular strain and is out of Tuesday’s Champions League clash with United.
