When De’Anthony Thomas committed to Oregon late on signing day in 2011, the Ducks put a big, gleaming — and lightning fast — bow on what was considered the best recruiting class in school history.

Two years later, Thomas and his classmates are well on their way to validating that lofty praise. Recruiting rankings sometimes need to be taken with a healthy grain of salt, but when it comes to Oregon’s 2011 class — the first to be ranked in the top 10 nationally by both Rivals.com and Scout.com on signing day — there’s no argument.
