As the beginning of the league year rapidly approaches in less than a month, the New York Giants are preparing to scour the free-agent market for low cost replacements for the valuable free-agents the team will undoubtedly lose on the open market. Given the team's salary cap situation, safety Kenny Phillips (among others) is nearly a lock to sign with another squad.
