Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said Friday that goaltender Corey Crawford is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Quenneville added that Ray Emery would start Friday against the San Jose Sharks (8:30 p.m. ET, NHLN-US), with Henrik Karlsson, recalled earlier Friday from the American Hockey League, serving as the backup. It will be Emery's fourth start of the season.
