5 Young Players Primed for Big Things at World Cup 2014

The 2014 FIFA World Cup is less than 500 days away, and with a host of young talent already taking over the sport across the globe, we decided to look at some of the players who are primed for big things in Brazil.

Choosing the young players was no simple task. After looking at hundreds of players currently 25 or younger, we cut the list to just those player who are now 23 or younger, hoping to create a list of the top players in the world who will be under 25 when the World Cup begins (as you can see in the video, we cheat by a few months on one player).

There are so many young, talented players in the world—from Beglium's Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku to Italy's Mario Balotelli and Stephan El Shaarawy to Brazil's Neymar and Oscar to Toni Kroos, Mario Gotze and Thomas Muller of Germany to Africans like Andre and Jordan Ayew of Ghana and Lacina Traore of Cote d'Ivoire to England's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jack Wilshere and Tom Cleverley to…surely some players in Spain—that it was nearly impossible to put them into a viable list. But list them we did!

Have some fun with this, and feel free to leave your top five in the comments.
