The Champions Tour moves up the west coast of Florida to Naples for the Ace Group Classic. The golfers won’t be able to enjoy the swaying palm trees, rolling surf and beautiful beaches along the Gulf Coast, but they may get in a side trip to the excellent restaurants along 5th Avenue.
Rocco Mediate got off to a fantastic start by winning his Champions Tour debut at the Allianz Championship last week in Boca Raton.
Kenny Perry is the defending champion at the Ace Group Classic and is currently No. 10 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings. He has played in two events thus far in 2013. He was T-5 at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hawaii and T-19 last week.
The Ace Group Classic is played at the Twin Eagles Talon Course. It is a par-72 that can stretch to over 7,200 yards but will play under 7,000 yards for the old guys.

It offers a total purse of $1.6 million with $240,000 going to the winner.
With a win in Hawaii and a T-9 last week, John Cook leads the Charles Schwab Cup rankings after just two events. Bernhard Langer is in a familiar spot at second behind Cook. He finished runner-up to Tom Lehman in the 2012 Charles Schwab Cup.
