In the ever-increasing drama of free agency and salary cap woes, it is always depressing to see

?> a good player get lost in the mix.

I thought that Samari Rolle was heading down that road.  It's great that Baltimore shored up the CB situation with some youth and speed, but we have a defense that exists due in part to the veteran leadership.

Ray-Ray is back, Reed is back, and now Rolle is back.  Feels good to see some consistent, talented players back on the roster this year.

I feel that Baltimore does an excellent job of retaining the right players.  McCallister was a cancer, and needed to go.  Scott was getting too big for the unit, and he needed to go as well (although he will be missed).

My only concern with the existing players would be Derrick Mason's mental desire to return if Baltimore doesn't give him an extension.

This guy is ridiculous in his work ethic and ability.  His catching ability and knowledge is not something the front office should overlook.

They brought back one stalwart carry-over from Tennessee, I just hope they work something out and keep the other "Titan of Baltimore" just as happy.
