For the second time in the span of a week, the Houston Rockets got a big win against one of the better teams in the Western Conference after beating the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, 116-107.

The Warriors gained an early four-point advantage in the first quarter, but the Rockets would fire back in the second and take a one-point lead going into the second half.

It was the third quarter that proved to be the difference in this game.

Chandler Parsons was the major catalyst for Houston in the third frame with 11 points, while both James Harden and Patrick Patterson did major damage against the Warriors defense.

Harden had a team-high 27 points on the evening, but the Rockets enjoyed an astounding seven players in double figures with Carlos Delfino and Marcus Morris adding 10 and 12 points off the bench, respectively.

In fact, it was Delfino and Morris who became red hot in the fourth quarter to help Houston maintain their lead.

Stephen Curry led all Golden State scorers with 27 points, and Jarrett Jack did his best to lend some support off the pine with 22 points.

Player of the Game: James Harden

Harden had a great all-around game for the Rockets in this one. The star guard was tied with a game-high 27 points for Houston while adding seven rebounds, five assists and three steals.

A bit of a scare came in the third quarter, as Harden left with an apparent knee injury, but he would return soon after that.

What's Next for Houston

The Rockets will have quite the test when they head to Los Angeles to take on the Clippers on Wednesday night. L.A. won the pair's last meeting, 117-109.

What's Next for Golden State

The Warriors head into the All-Star break in about as bad a way as a team can. Golden State has now dropped their last five games and won't take the court again until Feb. 19 on the road against the Utah Jazz.
