Porto Deny Manchester United

Mariano Gonzalez had other plans in mind as he scored an equalizer a minute before the game ended. What began to look like yet another victory for the Red Devils at Old Trafford was denied as an unmarked Gonzalez caught them by the tail.

Like I said in my previous article, Ferguson needs to pay attention to Jonny Evans.

His sloppy defense has once again exposed Manchester United's vulnerability at the back with the absence of Ferdinand. Rooney did justice to his name despite the result.

Cristian Rodriguez's strike at the fourth minute—thanks to a small blunder from Jonny Evans—was quite a dream start for the visitors but Rooney scored the equalizer and also provided Tevez to make the second one.

I must say that for 21-year-old Evans, making up for the absence of Ferdinand is no easy task and complementing with a returning Vidic.

Now it will be a thriller at Porto for all football fans as it becomes a do-or-die situation for both teams.
