Full time result in the Champions League Last 16 First Leg
Real Madrid 1 (Ronaldo)
Manchester United 1 (Welbeck)
MOTM: David de Gea
Well that concludes the first leg in an intriguing fixture, is it advantage Manchester United though?
Danny Welbeck gave them a 19th-minute lead with a fine header off a corner, only for former Red Devil Cristiano Ronaldo to draw the game level 10 minutes later with a leaping header of his own.
Real had the vast majority of the second half possession and a few shots from range, which David de Gea was equal to, but in truth there were too few clear-cut chances for either side to suggest one team or the other should have secured a first leg win.
It is very much all to play for in Manchester in three weeks.

Real Madrid 1 Manchester United 1
90+2'—GOOD SAVE! The ball comes to van Persie on the left edge of the area and he chests and volleys at goal, forcing a good stop from Diego Lopez. The ball goes out for a corner but the referee says time is enough.
90+2'—Free kick to United in the last few seconds. Will they have the last attempt on goal?
90+1'—Real Madrid picking up the pace a little as we move into injury time, Modric's cross finds Ronaldo in the six yard box...but Jones is there once more to make a block and even win a goal kick when the ball bobbles back off Ronaldo's legs.
Three minutes to be added on
89'—Into the last minute of the 90. United happy to slow the game down incessantly, just trying to see out the remainder of the game. Real Madrid hope for one more big chance to fall their way.
88'—Real still maintaining plenty of possession, but they are running out of time to do anything with it. Evans and Ferdinand standing firm, with Carrick and Jones steady ahead of them.
87'—Antonio Valencia is shown a yellow card for a stray elbow which hit the face of Sergio Ramos.
85'—Cristiano Ronaldo lines up a free kick from fully 35 yards, but his effort is, though well-hit, just over the crossbar.
84'—Man United sub: Anderson for Rooney
83'—Real Madrid sub: Pepe on for Xabi Alonso.
81'—Right on cue, it's a massive chance for Ryan Giggs as the ball breaks to him in the penalty box—but instead of shooting he opts to go on the outside, and he's quickly closed down by three defenders. Chance gone.
81'—We're inside the final 10 minutes of the game and at present it only looks as though Real Madrid are intent on winning the game—but don't rule United out on the counter attack.
Latest update for you from Ukraine—Shakhtar 2 Dortmund 1.
79'—It's another good save from de Gea, this time down to his right side, to clutch a Khedira shot out of the air.
76'—Higuain just makes space for a shot on the edge of the area, but de Gea gets down quickly to save at his near post.
75'—Into the final 15 minutes. Stick or twist for both clubs? Real should surely be looking at attacking for a second goal, with United having scored an away goal this evening. 1-1 is not a bad result for Manchester United at all.
74'—Real Madrid sub: Di Maria off, Luka Modric on.
73'—United sub: Welbeck off, Antonio Valencia on.
72'—OFF THE LINE! The ball is headed back into the Real area to van Persie, who is onside again, but he doesn't quite connect properly with his shot—it beats Diego Lopez, but not quite the sliding, retreating Xabi Alonso who makes a terrific clearance off the goal line.
71'—van Persie hits the woodwork! Rooney slips van Persie in for a free shot at goal down the right channel of the box and Diego Lopez reacts well to tip it onto the crossbar...
69'—It's patient, prolonged, progressive passing from Real Madrid, but the movement isn't good enough at the moment to break through the United back line...until Higuain pulls wide to rill over a low cross and Ronaldo sees his shot at the near post blocked by Rio Ferdinand.
67'—Three consecutive crosses and corners are repelled by the head of Phil Jones, before Danny Welbeck buys his team a free kick in the centre circle. He then needs a little treatment for some cramp from teammate Rooney.
