There's a general rule when it comes to the NBA's slam dunk contest: Big men don't stand a chance to win it all.

That is until you come across the 2012-13 Boston Celtics roster.

For a team that's one of league's oldest, whose franchise player is a point guard and whose rookies are a couple of unpolished centers—it's slim pickings when it comes to the team's vertical highlight reel this season.

The one guy who's been able to get Celtics fans consistently off their feet is 6'9" power forward Jeff Green.

Coming in at No. 4 on NBA.com's dunk ladder, which ranks the NBA's top 10 dunks of the season, is an early season slam from Green who had just returned from serious heart surgery in the offseason. Green posterizes Utah Jazz forward Al Jefferson and sends the TD Garden crowd into a frenzy.

As Celtics guard Jason Terry told ESPN's Chris Forsberg after the game, "Oh, that was incredible," said Terry. "That was top five, all-time, that I've seen in live action. It was a nice move."

Green's sheer power and storyline this season make him an easy fan favorite to win the competition. Veterans Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett don't have the high rising slam part of their game left, but would've stood a good chance to dethrone Green in their primes.

Green's biggest competition would most likely be the game-changing guard Avery Bradley, who's had a few crowd-raising slams of his own the past couple seasons. Bradley put Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant onto a poster late last season.

In the end, Green's power would outlast Bradley's energy. Green would win over the Celtics crowd.
