One of five former Avalanche players leading their teams in scoring, Vrbata has been a consistent scorer for Phoenix for a few years. He has quick hands and good instinct for the puck around the front of the net. Vrbata broke in with the Avs and scored 19 goals as a rookie. He was traded to Carolina in a deal for Bates Battaglia.
