The Oklahoma City Thunder got off to a roaring start on Sunday night and never let up, emerging with a 97-69 victory over the Phoenix Suns at US Airways Center.
The Thunder finished the first quarter with a 27-16 lead, widened the lead to 17 points at the half and cruised in the second half.
Oklahoma City was able to overcome a deficit on the glass (54-40) by shooting 45 percent from the field and holding the Suns to 33 percent shooting.
The Western Conference's No. 2 seed also scored 25 points on 22 Suns turnovers as four different Thunder players had two steals or more.
Player of the Game: Russell Westbrook, PG, Oklahoma City Thunder
Russell Westbrook posted 24 points, six assists and four steals in just 28 minutes of action on Sunday. He helped the Thunder's offense cruise along while being disruptive on defense. His plus-minus for the game was plus-24.
