With an 80-69 win behind a rejuvenated offense, the Virginia men’s basketball continued to surprise and cement its place as a NCAA tournament bubble team, even with a baffling résumé. Maryland, meanwhile, needed a strong February to remain in the discussion. Instead, the Terrapins suffered precisely the home letdown they couldn’t afford.
