Syracuse Orange senior James Southerland has been cleared to rejoin the Orange, coach Jim Boeheim confirmed via text message to ESPN.com on Sunday.
Southerland has missed the last six games for No. 9 Syracuse (19-3, 7-2 Big East) after being declared academically ineligible. Several reports said that the NCAA was looking into his academic record.
