The waves of free throws have been nice and more than a little helpful. The 26 points per game have been vital, as has been the defensive attention demanded. But Rockets guard James Harden's tasks cannot be contained by 48 minutes a night, or even within the confines of the season's opening tip and final buzzer. The Rockets considered landing Harden, 23, the most significant step in their rebuilding but far from the final move necessary to build a contender.
