Around the PAC-10 - March 29

In Tuscon, Stoops' crew returned to the practice field after Spring Break vacation. Ryan Finley covers U of A football for the Arizona Daily Star. In his most recent column, Finley sets out to answer five key questions surrounding the Wildcats 2008 season. "When will Stoops' head explode?" was not one of them.

Jeff Metcalfe covers Dennis Erickson and his ASU football team for The Republic. His blog has some interesting tidbits here and there. Really not a whole lot going on in Sun Devil Land. Although I did hear somewhere the ASU student body was labeled the most attractive in the NATION...not going to get too far into it but if considering PAC-10 talent level, I am going  1. ASU  2. USC  3. Zona  4. Oregon  5. UCLA

In Berkley, Jeff Tedford is back at it. You know he has been sleeping in his office, maybe two hours a night, since the Stanford game. Trying a bit of a different angle this spring, Tedford and the Cal Bears coaching staff are pushing a more gentle approach to winning.  Eric Gilmore of the Contra Costa Times  has all the details for you in his latest column

As far as college football beat writers go...Rob Moseley is the best in the PAC-10 in my opinion. The guy is just non-stop. Quality information source year round. Moseley covers the Oregon football program for The Register-Guard in Eugene. In his latest blog entry he takes a crack at the Ducks depth chart going into the teams opening spring practice April 1. Moseley does a great job breaking down each position group in his blog as well...
