Match-winner Gareth Bale believes Tottenham's 2-1 win over Newcastle sends out a important signal to their Premier League rivals for a top-four place.
The Welsh winger scored twice, either side of Yoan Gouffran's equaliser for the Magpies, to move Tottenham above Chelseainto third place, for a few hours at least.
