Ann Arbor — All of a sudden, Michigan finds itself in the unenviable position again of ascending to the No. 1 ranking. Michigan gets the "benefit" of playing for the top spot after No. 1 Indiana was upset at Illinois on Thursday and No. 2 Kansas fell at TCU on Tuesday. But sitting on the No. 1 perch has been a twisted game of hot potato, with the top team losing each of the last five weeks — Duke, Louisville, Duke again, Michigan and Indiana.
