Duke Defeats NC State, 98-85

The Duke Blue Devils (20-2, 7-2) avenged their loss from back in January against the NC State Wolfpack (16-7, 5-5) with a 98-85 win at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The Blue Devils came out in the first half firing on all cylinders by scoring 58 points and draining 10 three-pointers.
In the second half, the explosive Blue Devils offense was subdued as the Wolfpack tried to muster a comeback.
The Wolfpack could only cut the Duke lead to nine points before the Blue Devils pulled away in the latter stages of the game.
Mason Plumlee had a dominant performance for Duke by scoring 30 points and nine rebounds.
Richard Howell was the top performer for NC State as he netted 23 points before fouling out with three minutes to go.

Plumlee drains both free throws and the Blue Devils get possession as well.

However, the play in the paint by Plumlee and the free throw shooting by the entire team has carried the Blue Devils for most of the second half.
Howell is living life on the edge for NC State by guarding Plumlee with four personal fouls.
This is an interesting statistic about the second half.
