Mark Stoops, barely two months into his career as the University of Kentucky’s football coach, delivered the program’s highest-rated recruiting class in the dozen years that Rivals.com has been ranking such things. When Jason Hatcher, a four-star defensive end from Trinity High School, backed out of his commitment to Southern California and signed with the Wildcats on Wednesday afternoon, UK’s 22-man class shot up to 28th nationally.
