Well surprise, surprise. At this point during 2013 national signing day, you're either shocked at the top recruit you landed but weren't expecting, or you're cursing a rival for stealing a future star you thought was committed.

That's definitely the story in Columbus, where the Ohio State Buckeyes staged a true coup d'etat against the SEC by stealing the nation's No. 2 safety Vonn Bell (Rossville, Ga.—Ridgeland High School) away from Tennessee and Alabama (per the Chattanooga Times Free Press' Lindsey Young). Both schools were considered strong favorites, but in the end, Bell inked with Urban Meyer in the Big Ten.

A similar story played out in Clemson, South Carolina, where 5-star cornerback MacKensie Alexander chose Dabo Swinney and the Tigers in orange over the Tigers of Auburn, Alabama (per CBS Sports' Chip Patterson).

So, what other major surprises occurred on national signing day? Bleacher Report's recruiting show Full Ride breaks down the biggest shocks on one of college football's most critical days.
