Mets' Alderson Resists Naming Francisco Closer

New York Mets general manager Sandy Alderson declined to name right-hander Frank Francisco the team's closer Monday, despite Francisco serving in that role last season. Francisco, who is owed $6.5 million during the upcoming season, underwent surgery in December to remove a bone spur from his right elbow.
