Wilpon Doesn't Want to Be in the Dark During All-Star Game at Citi Field

Mets chief operating officer Jeff Wilpon was watching the Super Bowl Sunday night when he saw what 100-plus million other viewers saw: The lights flicked off at the Superdome, leaving half the aging stadium in the dark and the game on hold for 34 minutes. That is not something Wilpon wants to see in July when the Mets host Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game at Citi Field, their almost brand-new stadium.
