Prior to announcing their list of 24 nonroster invitees Tuesday, the Rockies made a slight, renewed push for free agent Derek Lowe. The sinkerballer fits the profile of a veteran capable of providing protection, if not innings, for a staff counting largely on the return of injured starters Jorge De La Rosa, Jhoulys Chacin and Juan Nicasio.
