The Islanders scored two goals 35 seconds apart in the third period, but were unable to complete the three-goal comeback, losing 4-2 to the Pittsburgh Penguins Tuesday at Nassau Coliseum. The loss dropped the Islanders to 4-4-1 (nine points), while Pittsburgh improved to 7-3-0 (14 points).
