If it weren’t for Martin Brodeur, Rangers 2011 first-round pick J.T. Miller would have had an assist to remember in his NHL debut, a pass to Chris Kreider that led to Marc Staal’s back-door chance on the power play. Brodeur robbed Staal with his pad, but Miller had sent the message: the Rock was not too overwhelming a stage.
