5 Strikeforce Imports We Can't Wait to See Fight Their 1st UFC Fight
With Strikeforce now gone, the UFC has taken on the rights of many of that organization's fighters.
Fans have been following some of these fighters for years, and it will be interesting to see if they stack up against UFC talent.
Some have already made an impact. Derek Brunson was able to defeat Chris Leben in their fight.
Tyron Woodley made an impression with a 36-second knockout of Jay Hieron.
There are many Strikeforce imports that fans want to see do battle inside the Octagon.
Here are a few that should make some serious noise in their respective divisions.

The former Strikeforce lightweight champion has made quite a name for himself.
Many believe that he was the best lightweight not fighting in the UFC. Well now, he finally gets his chance against reigning UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson.
Melendez is highly touted and will need to be in top condition for his first UFC bout, which happens to be a title shot.
He hasn't lost a fight since 2009, and since that loss, he has reeled off wins over Shinya Aoki, Jorge Masvidal and Josh Thomson twice to name a few.
Fans will finally get a chance to see how good Melendez really is.
Luke Rockhold is the former middleweight champion of the Strikeforce organization.
Rockhold defeated Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza to win the title.
He was then able to defend it twice—once against Keith Jardine and the second time against Tim Kennedy.
Those are some pretty good names to have on your resume. Rockhold has great talent and is an incredibly hard worker.
It will be good to see if he can translate his talents over to the UFC Octagon.

Gegard Mousasi is a very dangerous fighter.
His overall record stands at 33-3 with his latest win coming against Mike Kyle on the final Strikeforce card.
Mousasi is a very experienced and holds the majority of his wins by knockout.
He already has a fight booked, and it will be against Alex Gustafsson at UFC on Fuel TV9.
If Mousasi can defeat Gustafsson impressively, it could do wonders to help him earn a title shot in the crowded light heavyweight division.
Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza
Ronaldo Souza is an elite fighter.
His grappling pedigree is of the highest level. He holds 13 submission wins to his credit.
He has also fallen in love with his striking and has developed some nasty power. A notable knockout on his resume is when he defeated Derek Brunson in the first round of their fight.
Souza is also the former Strikeforce middleweight champion, and it will be interesting to see how he performs at the UFC level.
A fighter who has scary power coupled with slick and dangerous submissions? Sounds like a fan favourite to me.
Many fans have been anxiously waiting to see how Daniel Cormier would perform in the UFC.
Cormier has some excellent expertise and a wealth of knowledge from which to draw on. He is a former Olympic wrestler with heavy hands.
Cormier was able to defeat Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva by knockout in an upset bout. Cormier was stepping in for the injured Alistair Overeem.
He next faced Josh Barnett and won the fighting by dominating with his wrestling. That bout won him the title of Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix champion.
Cormier is an elite heavyweight. With his combination of Olympic-level wrestling and nasty power, look for him to make a statement in the UFC.
