What Are the San Francisco 49ers' Needs in the 2013 NFL Draft?

Aaron Nagler@Aaron_NaglerNFL National Lead WriterFebruary 5, 2013

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh rolled the dice and went with his second-year signal-caller Colin Kaepernick after his veteran starter Alex Smith got hurt—and rode the wave to the cusp of a Super Bowl championship.

While losing in the Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history certainly stings, 49ers fans can take heart in the fact that Kaepernick is clearly a star on the rise. Throw in the boatload of draft picks San Francisco general manager Trent Baalke has to work with, and the Niners' window is wide open.

Matt Miller and I rounded up a bunch of football fans, gave them hats and B/R swag, then headed over to Highland Park here in New York City and tried to figure out where the 49ers have the most pressing needs heading into the 2013 NFL draft.

Let us know in the comments below where you agree or disagree with our assessments and what other needs we might have missed.
