Monty Williams Trying to Stay Patient with His Young Team

In assessing his team’s miserable performance this past Saturday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Hornets Coach Monty Williams pointed out a glaring disparity involving his team’s passes- per- possession ratio. Typically, Williams said three passes are made per possession that totals about 300 for an entire game. But after reviewing the game tape from Saturday’s embarrassing 115-86 loss, Williams said his team had 100 offensive possessions and totaled only 164 passes.
