The sobering truth is that I can’t remember a spring with less buzz about the Rockies. I am getting older, as my kids remind me of daily during their athletic practices, so perhaps my memory is fuzzy. I know there wasn’t much excitement surrounding the 2005 season as the Todd and The Toddlers movement took hold. Same goes for 2006. The difference is that those seasons weren’t within arms reach of a playoff berth. This spring seems particularly deflating and frustrating to fans because the Rockies were really good not that long ago.
