Former Oilers nose tackle Curley Culp was at the airport in Austin, waiting for a just-in-case flight to New Orleans, when he learned he had been voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Culp, who played seven seasons (1974-80) for the Oilers during the Luv Ya Blue era under Bum Phillips, was a senior finalist and one of seven who will be inducted in Canton, Ohio, in August.
