Star Trek Goes 'Into Darkness' with Super Bowl Commercial
Get your engines primed, Trekkies. It’s about that time again.
Director J.J. Abrams continues the Star Trek legacy this summer with Into Darkness and, judging by the commercial aired during the Super Bowl, it will not disappoint.
Captain Kirk, Spock and the crew of the Enterprise are faced off against a new nemesis: the mysterious “John Harrison," played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
According to the commercial, Harrison is “better” than Kirk “at everything” and the action we see in this 30-second spot portends a monstrous throw-down between the two.
Flyovers. Fire covering everything and everyone. Intense Kirk faces.
Yeah. We’re sold.
