Companies are determined to up their game each year, and there are memorable commercials every time.
Sex appeal will be used in some, and others will try to make the audience laugh. The best ads always contain a funny moment, so be prepared to chuckle during commercials on Sunday night.
The hype always seems to get out of hand. Advertisers have to live up to impossible standards and end up trying too hard. However, the brands that are always consistent will have no problem earning good reviews.
So who should you be on the lookout for during Super Bowl XLVII?
Here are some brands that have not gotten a lot of attention leading up to the game this year.
Speed Stick hasn't been known to put out great commercials, but the company did a good job with this year's spot.
It combines sex appeal and some humor, which is what companies are starting to do.
It's good because a lot of people have been in the situation where they are waiting for someone else to be done with a laundry machine. It just gets better when a guy takes a random girl's clothes out and gets caught.
Now there's a situation you'd hate to be in. It really is a situation where you'd be sweating it out, so a great job by Speed Stick to make a nice commercial.
It might get a chuckle out of you, but the main reason it's a good commercial is because it has "that guy."
If it's not supposed to be a hilarious commercial, it needs to contain a memorable character. There might not be a more imitated character on Monday than the "Get Happy" guy.
His accent is something that will have the audience acting like him, especially after they reveal that he's from Minnesota.
Again, it won't be a knee-slapper. It will however catch on when people think of the memorable commercials.
The commercials don't really have much to do with their product, but there will be a few chuckles when they are seen.
YouTube has one of Taco Bell's commercials. It will probably be catchy because of the song used, but it's not the best one Taco Bell came up with.
By using the elderly, they try to sell their motto of "Live Mas" and show that they can do anything they want. It's got some humor to it, so Taco Bell did a good job.
Mixing football and humor is a wise thing to do for the Super Bowl.
Of course, there will be more commercials that will receive good reviews. GoDaddy.com will probably use sex appeal to win over viewers, and the beer commercials should give us some good laughs.
Budweiser and Bud Light commercials are normally good, so try to make sure to catch those even if you don't watch the game.
