The Miami Hurricanes may have one of the most underrated recruiting classes in college football.

It's certainly not an elite class like we've seen from Miami before, but overall the recruits that Al Golden and his staff have brought in display a ton of potential.

The future of Miami football is looking up with Golden at the helm, and the recruits from this class are going to play a huge role in any future success the Hurricanes have.

Let's get to meet Miami's 2013 recruiting class.

Via 247Sports
Height: 6''0'

Weight: 215 lbs.

Position: RB

Stars: 3-star

School: Tottenville (NY)

Senior Stats: N/A

Other Finalists: Florida State

Commit Date: Feb. 6

Analysis

Gus Edwards is a big commitment for Miami for a few reasons. The other team on top of his 247Sports interest list is Florida State, so it was huge for Miami to out-recruit the Seminoles. Edwards is a big back at 6'0'', 215 pounds and he runs 4.65 40 (247Sports), so he would be a very talented recruit for Miami to land.

Beau Sandland

Via 247Sports
Via 247Sports
Height: 6'6''

Weight: 260 lbs.

Position: TE

Stars: 4-star

School: Pierce College

2012 Stats: 24 REC, 267 YD, 3 REC TD

Other Finalists: Arizona State

Commit Dates: 12/19/12, Enrolled: 1/25/13

Analysis:

Beau Sandland is an elite JUCO tight end recruit with incredible potential. He has terrific size at 6'6'', 260 pounds, and he projects to be a good pass-catching tight end. He'll be able to stretch the field vertically between the seams and he'll present a ton of mismatches for Miami.

Standish Dobard

Via 247Sports
Via 247Sports
Height: 6'4''

Weight: 241 lbs.

Position: TE

Stars: 4-star

School: Edna Karr High School (LA)

Senior Stats: 45 REC, 726 YD, 9 REC TD

Other Finalists: Auburn

Commit Dates: 4/4/12, Enrolled: 1/21/13

Analysis:

Standish Dobard is another big tight end commitment for Miami and he'll definitely compete with Sandland to be the No. 2 guy on the roster behind Clive Walford. Dobard is ranked as the No. 7 tight end in the 2013 class according to the 247Sports Composite.

Hunter Knighton

Via 247Sports
Via 247Sports
Height: 6'6''

Weight: 265 lbs.

Position: OT

Stars: 3-star

School: The Hun School Of Princeton (N.J.)

Senior Stats: N/A

Other Finalists: Boise State, Boston College, Purdue

Commit Dates: 12/10/12, Enrolled: 1/16/13

Analysis:

Hunter Knighton is a big time offensive tackle commitment for the Hurricanes. He has terrific size at 6'6'', 265 pounds and he has great potential. Miami is set at tackle right now with Malcolm Bunche and Seantrel Henderson projecting to be the starters. Look for Knighton to compete to move into a starting role in a few seasons, though. The fact that he's enrolled early should give him an advantage.

Sunny Odogwu

Via 247Sports
Via 247Sports
Height: 6'8''

Weight: 307 lbs.

Position: OT

Stars: 3-star

School: St. Frances Academy (MD)

Senior Stats: N/A

Other Finalists: Texas Tech, Mississippi State, West Virginia

Commit Dates: 12/28/12, Enrolled: 1/14/13

Analysis:

Much like Knighton, Odogwu will compete for a starting position once Henderson or Bunche move on. At 6'8'' 307 pounds Odogwu projects to be a great tackle, so look for him to compete with Knighton and Ereck Flowers once those spots open up.

Alex Figueroa

Via 247Sports
Via 247Sports
Height: 6'4''

Weight: 215 lbs.

Position: WDE

Stars: 3-star

School: Brooke Point High School (VA)

Senior Stats: N/A

Other Finalists: N/A

Commit Dates: 12/1/12, Enrolled: 1/16/13

Analysis:

Alex Figueroa is a big-time defensive end commitment for the Hurricanes and he'll play himself into the rotation at defensive end in his first season. He has good size at 6'4'', 215 pounds and he's ranked as the No. 1 prep school weak-side defensive end in the country according to the 247Sports Composite.

Artie Burns

Via 247Sports
Via 247Sports
Height: 6'1''

Weight: 180 lbs.

Position: S

Stars: 4-star

School: Miami Northwestern High School (FL)

Senior Stats: N/A

Other Finalists: LSU

Commit Dates: 7/23/12

Analysis:

The Hurricanes are pretty deep at safety, so Burns is going to have to work his way onto the field as a special teams player at first. That said, he has the potential to be a good backup to Kacey Rodgers II and Deon Bush, so keep an eye out for him. Once Rodgers II moves on, look for Burn to compete for the starting gig.

Alquadin Muhammad

Via 247Sports
Via 247Sports
Height: 6'4'''

Weight: 230 lbs.

Position: SDE

Stars: 4-star

School: Don Bosco High School (N.J.)

Senior Stats: 64 TCK, 12 SCK, 4 FF

Other Finalists: Rutgers, Auburn, Notre Dame

Commit Dates: 1/5/13

Analysis:

Alquadin Muhammad has superstar potential for Miami, and he represents a marquee recruiting win for the Hurricanes. He has great size at 6'4'', 230 pounds and he runs a 4.65 40 according to 247Sports. He'll be an elite pass rusher at the college level, and he could win a starting role from day one. If not, look for him to get a lot playing time as a freshman none the less, especially in obvious passing situations.

Kevin Olson

Via 247Sports
Via 247Sports
Height: 6'3'''

Weight: 195 lbs.

Position: QB

Stars: 4-star

School: Wayne Hills High School (N.J.)

Senior Stats: 448 PAYD, 5 TD

Other Finalists: N/A

Commit Dates: 5/18/12

Analysis:

Kevin Olsen could be the quarterback of the future for Miami. He has good size, a ton of potential and he's the No. 5 pro-style quarterback according to the 247Sports Composite. Look for Olsen to take over for Stephen Morris once he moves on. Taking a redshirt year would also be great option for Olsen.

Jamal Carter

Via 247Sports
Height: 6'2'''

Weight: 193 lbs.

Position: S

Stars: 4-star

School: Miami Southridge Senior High School (FL)

Senior Stats: N/A

Other Finalists: LSU, Oklahoma

Commit Dates: 7/26/12

Analysis:

Jamal Carter will come in and be a very important depth player right away for the Hurricanes. He has great size at 6'2'', 193 pounds and he's the No. 22 ranked safety in the 2013 class according to the 247Sports Composite. He should be a big special teams player right away for the Hurricanes.

Ufomba Kamulu

Position: DT

Stars: 3-star

Senior Stats: 52 TCK, 12.5 TFL, 7 SCK, 2 FF, 3 FR

Other Finalists: Houston, West Virginia

Commit Dates: 1/20/13

Analysis:

Ufomba Kamulu is a big defensive tackle recruit who should be able to work his way into the rotation behind Curtis Porter and Olsen Pierre. Kamulu has great size at 6'5'', 280 pounds and his experience as a JUCO player could give him an advantage on the depth chart.

Alex Gall

Via 247Sports
Via 247Sports
Height: 6'5'''

Weight: 295 lbs.

Position: OT

Stars: 3-star

School: Moeller High School (OH)

Senior Stats: N/A

Other Finalists: N/A

Commit Dates: 6/20/12

Analysis:

Alex Gall has great size at 6'5'', 295 pounds and he could end up being a big-time player for Miami. He also is a big out-of-state commitment for the Hurricanes, coming from Ohio. A redshirt year could be smart for Gall so he can take advantage of the extra year of eligibility.

Ray Lewis III

Via 247Sports
Via 247Sports
Height: 5'9''

Weight: 175 lbs.

Position: RB

Stars: 3-star

Senior Stats: 1,898 RUYD, 20TD, 676 RECYD, 4 RECTD

Other Finalists: N/A

Commit Dates: 3/20/12

Analysis:

Ray Lewis III could end up being a very effective running back for the Hurricanes. He may need to bulk up a bit, but in time he should be able to compete for a backup spot behind Duke Johnson. Don't be surprised if he takes a redshirt year to hit the weight room.

Devante Bond

Via 247Sports
Via 247Sports
Height: 6'3''

Weight: 230 lbs.

Position: OLB

Stars: 3-star

Analysis:

Devonte Bond has tremendous potential as an outside linebacker. He has great size at 6'3'', 230 pounds and he's versatile enough to play defensive end as well. Look for Bond to be a big-time special teams player in year one. His versatility will make him very effective.
