Well that's all for the live commentary today, thanks as always for joining me and hopefully you enjoyed that game.
A point for City closes the gap to nine to United, but that's not what they would have been hoping for before kick off. For Liverpool, they've taken two points from trips to the Emirates and the Etihad this week—though they led in both matches with 15 or 20 minutes left to play.
They might just be wondering what might have been.
I'll be back with more live action next week, and stick around the website for plenty more reaction from this game this evening. Until next time!

Manchester City 2 (Dzeko, Aguero)
Liverpool 2 (Sturridge, Gerrard)
MOTM: Daniel Sturridge.
Well there is the end of a thoroughly absorbing and entertaining encounter, and the fixture between these sides ends 2-2 for the second time this season.
Edin Dzeko gave City the lead in the first half with a tap-in from James Milner's left wing cross, before Daniel Sturridge rifled Liverpool level from 25 yards with Dzeko down injured—though he made a miraculous recovery as soon as the ball hit the net.
Liverpool then took the lead in the second half with a fizzing, swerving drive from Gerrard which found the far corner of the net, but a late error in judgement from Reina allowed Aguero the chance to equalise, squeezing home an excellent finish from a tight angle.
Entertaining, eventful and ultimately probably more than a little frustrating for both teams, but a terrific game of Premier League football overall.

Manchester City 2 Liverpool 2
90+5'—Johnson plays in Suarez and Lescott tackles him in the box, corner in the last seconds... and City clear.
90+4'—Forward comes Gerrard and Henderson again, Liverpool look for the late strike. Agger gets around the back of the defence and pulls a cross over the six yard box, but nobody is there and City clear.
90+3'—Into the last 100 seconds. Allen wins a free kick for the Reds; one more chance to send a couple of big attackers forward.
90+2'—City press forward now in injury time looking for a late winner. They probably need the full three points more than Liverpool...Maicon tries to sneak into the penalty area and cross for Dzeko but Skrtel gets back to stop and clear the ball.
Five minutes of added time to be played.
Have we got a late winner for one team or the other in this game?
89'—Sturridge drills in a shot from 20 yards which Hart has to really stretch to dive and palm away to safety. Good effort, and that will be his last contribution for the game.
Liverpool sub: Allen on for Sturridge.
City sub: Nasri on for Milner.
No idea what Reina is doing, he goes sprinting out of his area to get a ball which Aguero is clear favourite for; the striker touches it past Reina and scores a fantastic effort from a very narrow angle to level matters up again. 2-2.

76'—Agger has moved left now and bursts forward quickly, winning a free kick on the edge of the City box. Gerrard stands over it...and Sturridge got a touch, but it just whips past the far post.
City sub: Maicon on for David Silva
Liverpool sub: Martin Skrtel on for Jose Enrique
Vintage! Clichy clears a cross from inside the penalty and it lands at the chest of Steven Gerrard; he knocks it down and wallops the ball on the half volley from 25 yards, swerving it into the far corner past Joe Hart. 2-1 to Liverpool, with a little more than 15 minutes to go.

Steven Gerrard, 72 mins
70'—Suarez spins away from Javi Garcia as he moves over the halfway line, but the former Benfica man trips him and is booked.
No question that Sturridge has given Liverpool an extra dimension over the past month, with his movement as much as finishing.

67'—Jose Enrique loses possession and then fails to deal with the cross, but Silva's slight touch isn't enough to divert the ball toward goal. City pushing forward more often in these last 10 minutes.
66'—Lovely sweeping ball again from Sturridge who has had a good game, the dive aside, but Lucas eventually crosses from the right and it's easily cleared.
65'—A looping header from Gareth Barry almost gives Reina trouble, but it drops over the crossbar and onto the roof of the net.
64'—Kun Aguero picks up the ball and embarks on a winding, pacey run from the halfway line, leaving Lucas for dead, but then runs into trouble in the shape of Daniel Agger who stands his ground well.

62'—Downing bends a pass with the outside of his boot to Suarez on the far side of the area, but the Uruguayan's shot doesn't curl back enough to find the far post.
60'—Liverpool double up down the left with Henderson and Jose Enrique, but the cross from the latter is easily cleared. City have a man down in Aguero and this time Agger puts it out of play.
58'—A moment of panic for Liverpool after Glen Johnson plays a short pass to Carragher, but the defender recovers to pass back to Reina. A moment later he slides in on Silva to win another tackle, conceding a corner.
