As Super Bowl XLVII quickly approaches, we can't help keep our eyes off of the betting line between the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens.
The 2012 NFL regular season never saw a matchup between the two teams, so we're not exactly sure how these two match up with each other.
But we sure can speculate, predict, project, contemplate and review the crap out of it.
Below is your betting guide for Super Bowl XLVII.
Start Time: Sunday, Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m. ET
Venue: Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans, La.
TV Info: CBS
Live Stream: CBS Super Bowl
Spread: 49ers (-3.5) via Bet Online
With this likely being a close, physical game, the Ravens have the edge if you're putting money on the spread.
There's a very good chance this game will come down to a late-second field goal and David Akers is really struggling to put it through the uprights lately, which definitely swings in the favor of Baltimore.
San Francisco only beat the Atlanta Falcons by four points in the NFC Championship game and the Ravens, coming off a 28-13 win over the New England Patriots, field a better defense, of late..
I like the 49ers to hoist the Lombardi Trophy when the clock strikes double zero, but I think this is going to be one of the closest Super Bowl matchups in recent memory.
I give San Francisco a slight edge on offense but, with this being Ray Lewis' going-out party, I think Baltimore really shows up to play on Sunday.
Over/Under: 47 (Bet Online)
These are two of the best defenses in the NFL, so I don't see this being a high-scoring affair.
Both of these offenses are averaging at least 30 points per game during the postseason, but have yet to face defenses as physical and talented as they will come Sunday.
I think you can tell that I'm going with the under but, in case you need some further convincing, check this out.
Bovada tells us that the point total has gone under in four of the Ravens last five games while it's also gone under in four of the last six meetings between Baltimore and San Francisco.
So there you have it.
If you don't feel comfortable laying your money down on the game itself you can always splurge for the over/under on the length of the National Anthem or place a bet on what color Gatorade is used to douse the winning coach.
Enjoy the game, folks.
