STARKVILLE — For Mississippi State, defense breeds confidence. The Bulldogs were missing it on the basketball court last week, when they suffered two losses by more than 25 points. They got back into their defensive rhythm, the one which led to a surprising 2-0 SEC start, during a 55-49 overtime loss to Texas A&M on Wednesday. “We’ve just got to come out and play with more confidence,” junior guard Jalen Steele said. “We did in the last game. We did everything coach told us to do.”
