King Federer's End Started When He Was at His Best

Muhammad Maklet SafinContributor IApril 5, 2009

The end of the King Federer era started in 2007 when he tried his best to win the French open at Roland Garros. You could say that, or you could say he wasted his time on clay surface and didn't practice for Wimbledon and a week before when he was in Dubai. In that time, he was confident that no one could beat him, which was true even till Wimbledon 2008.  In the 2007 US Open and 2008 Australian Open, Federer didn't gave his best performance. The main blow came in the 2008 Wimbledon final, where again he thought that he can win easily before being destroyed by Rafael Nadal, who turned out to be  nightmare that he will never be forgotten by him. Rafa came between King Federer and Björn Borg record.  Roger's last performance as a King Federer was in Us Open 2008.
