COLLEGE STATION, Texas --- Former Indiana and Purdue assistant football coach Mark Hagen has been hired as Texas A&M's linebackers coach, Aggie head coach Kevin Sumlin announced on Friday.
Sumlin is very familiar with Hagen, who actually served on the same Purdue coaching staff as Sumlin in 2000. Hagen also spent the past two seasons on Kevin Wilson's Indiana Hoosiers coaching staff. Sumlin and Wilson coached together at Oklahoma from 2003-07. The addition of Hagen completes the Texas A&M coaching staff, and Sumlin also announced a couple of responsibility changes with Clarence McKinney being named offensive coordinator and David Beaty taking on the recruiting coordinator designation.
