Rick Reilly is one of the best in the business. The sports writing business, that is. He wrote articles for Sports Illustrated for 20 some years, and he was very good at his profession. I always looked forward to reading his articles because they were completely true and brilliant.
Don't get me wrong, there are many great writers out there. I was sort of dissapointed when I read in Sports Illustrated that he wasn't going to be writing for the magazine anymore. But hey, wouldn't you get tired of writing for the same magazine about the same thing (sports) after 20 some years? I know I would. Thank you, Rick, for so many well written pieces on sports.
