Updated Dark Horses for the NBA Title

Back in the day (October), it was easy to jump on the Indiana Pacers and Denver Nuggets' contender bandwagons. We did.

But now that we're halfway through the NBA season, it's time to admit that things have changed. While the Pacers and Nuggets are still good teams, they're really not much better than last season's versions.

The Pacers can't score and the Nuggets still don't have a crunch-time identity.

So, NBA assistant editors Ethan Norof and Joel C. Cordes have updated their championship contender picks this time around and are confident they've gotten it right!

Keep in mind that being a "dark horse" is not to be equated with being a title "favorite," but it does mean they have a puncher's chance to "shock the world."

Did they get it right this time? Leave us your thoughts in the comments section below!
