John MossSenior Analyst IMarch 28, 2008

The second half featured more of the same from the Longhorns, after withstanding a nice run by Stanford to cut the lead to 52-51 with 12:39 left in the game.

Texas answered by going on a 30 to 11 run to end the game and give Texas the 82 to 62 victory, advancing the Longhorns to the Elite 8.

They await the winner of Houston's second game between Memphis and Michigan State.

DJ Augustin was huge tonight, scoring 21 points along with Daimon James, who scored 18, including the "dagger" dunk to put UT up 15 with 5 minutes to play.
